EVENT UPDATE

 

It is with regret that Multiple Sclerosis Limited (MSL) is announcing that the 2020 MS Walk Run + Roll in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne have been cancelled or postponed.

While this decision has been made in an environment of global uncertainty, the health of members of the MS Community, volunteers, event participants and staff is the priority for MSL.

This decision is based on MSL’s efforts to avoid the risk of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, through public events.

MSL recognises the MS Walk Run + Roll is of great significance to the MS Community, each year bringing together people closely connected to the cause to raise vital funds that support people living with multiple sclerosis.

We would like to thank you for your support. Public fundraising events provide valuable resources to support services for people living with multiple sclerosis. The funds you have already raised in the 2020 MS Walk Run + Roll will be used to improve the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY REGISTRATION FEE?

Your entry fee helps to cover the cost of staging the event – things like equipment, traffic management and first aid. The funds you raise or donate go to providing services and support for the Australians living with multiple sclerosis.

WHY DIDN'T YOU CANCEL THE EVENT EARLIER?

We have been guided by information supplied from the Australian Government Department of Health. Important to note that as of March 13, 2020 it has still not been declared officially unsafe to attend mass gatherings, however we feel this is the right decision to make to prioritise the health and well-being of the MS Community.

CAN YOU REFUND MY SUPPORTERS THEIR DONATIONS?

The support and generosity of your supporters will provide vital support and services to people with multiple sclerosis. Donations will not be refunded.

WILL I STILL GET MY FUNDRAISING REWARDS?

Absolutely, we will mail you your fundraising rewards to the address provided when you registered. Fundraising rewards will be mailed by 31 March, 2020.

WILL YOU REFUND MY COSTS INCURRED?

Multiple Sclerosis Limited will not refund costs incurred by event participants.

CAN I GET A REFUND FOR EVENT MERCHANDISE PURCHASED?

All Manufacturer Direct and Made to Order merchandise items are final sale and cannot be cancelled, changed, exchanged, returned or refunded after the order has been placed.

DO I NEED TO SEND BACK MY BIB?

You do not need to return your bib, you can simply dispose of it and please remember to recycle.

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Please take time to thank your supporters and let them know that the event has unfortunately been cancelled, to prioritise the health and well-being of the MS Community. Let them know their support is greatly appreciated and will make a difference to the lives of people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
