I am taking part in the 2019 Sydney MS Walk + Fun Run to fight MS.
I myself was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in December 2017. This was a huge shock for not only myself, but also for my loved ones. I was a first time mother of a 5 month old baby at the time of my diagnosis so it was most certainly one of the toughest times of my life.
Multiple sclerosis is the most common disease of the central nervous system in young adults and it strikes young people in the prime of their lives.
There is no cure.
1 in 3 Australians know someone living with MS and the average age of diagnosis is just 30 years old. That’s incredible.
Now with the support of my family, friends and medical team behind me, I'm feeling confident that I will continue to battle this disease the best I possibly can.
In conclusion, I am taking on this challenge to help people (like myself) living with MS get the support they need to achieve their goals and live life to the absolute fullest. Having services like MS Connect readily available (and for free) for a person with MS is a life saver!
Please DONATE now to support my challenge and change the lives of Australians living with multiple sclerosis.
Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it :)
