I am taking part in the 2019 Canberra MS Walk + Fun Run to fight MS.
I was with my husband for 28 years and supported him battle MS for 26 years of these years. He was diagnosed when our eldest daughter was 18 months old. Some of the symptoms he has developed, dealt with & continues to develop include: fatigue, loss of sight, loss of movement, chronic shakes, bowel & bladder failure, mobility & balance, depression and perhaps the most difficult to explain, support and care for is, ongoing frontal lobe damage.
In November 2018 our beautiful 17 year old daughter Grace was also diagnosed with this complex disease. Understandably, words cannot explain how this feels for Grace, her father and our wider family.
This year I will be walking again to show my support for my daughter and raise awareness about this disease in confident hope that with ongoing research she will be able to live a normal and fulfilling life with no limits.
Please DONATE now to support my challenge and change the lives of Australians living with multiple sclerosis.
