NO ONE SHOULD FACE MS ALONE!
As many of you know, I have MS. This means I live with the uncertainty of how this disease will affect me over time—whether it’s fatigue, mobility challenges, or other symptoms that can change day by day. But I’m not alone. Over 33,300 Australians are living with MS, facing these challenges every single day.
Can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the things you usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), struggling to get out of bed, or walk to the phone to call for help?
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and often debilitating disease that attacks the central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves). It’s the most common neurological disease in young adults and often impacts people at a time when they are planning families and building careers. Three out of four people diagnosed are women.
That’s why I’ve created a team for the MS Walk + Fun Run in Sydney—to raise awareness and funds for vital support services like MS Connect, MS Peer Support, and MS Employment Support Programs. These services make a real difference in the lives of people with MS, and fundraising also helps bring new treatments closer to reality, including research into repairing myelin damage to restore lost function.
This cause is personal to me, and I’d love for you to join me—whether by walking, running, or donating. Your support means so much, not just to me, but to everyone living with MS.
Thank you!
