2026 Melbourne MS Walk Run + Roll

MS runs 2026!

As an otherwise healthy 36 year old I was lucky enough to be travelling on a holiday to Europe with my family in 2024. 

In Melbourne I was fine, in Singapore I had a numb hand, and by the time I landed in Poland my whole right side was numb. Within a few days I couldn't walk and was taken by ambulance to hospital for extensive testing. 

To cut a long story short, a few days later I was told I had MS. Like many of us, I barely knew what it was but I knew a lifetime challenge was ahead of me. 

After being medically evacuated back to Melbourne I started the discover and recovery journey, with the incredible support of my wife, three children, family, friends, work and Alfred hospital.

MS affects only about 10,000 men in Australia (and only another 20,000 women). The worst part for me is the uncertainty of what is next. Right now half my body is somewhat numb - permanently, but it's what is next that scares me. Thankfully the support of those around me has been incredible and appreciated.

Prior to MS I have never really run. But my beautiful wife Michelle suggested I train for a 10km run last year. It was hard (for me) but I did it. This year we have set ourselves the challenge of doing the 10km MS runs in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. 

I sincerely appreciate any support you could offer.
