Can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the everyday things you would usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), unable to get out of bed, walk to the phone to call someone – anyone – or live a life without pain?

All of a sudden, your world has changed.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves). It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people at a time in their lives when they are planning families and building a career. Three out of four people living with MS are women.

With your support, we can allow people living with multiple sclerosis access to vital support services, like MS Connect, MS Peer Support and MS Employment Support Programs. We’ll also be helping bring new treatments closer to reality, investing in repairing myelin damage to restore function that has been lost for people with progressive forms of the disease.

Siennas journey 2020-2025

Friday 9th May

Sienna has lived with a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for the past five years, diagnosed at age 14. However, her journey began much earlier—some of her symptoms first appeared when she was just six years old but were unfortunately dismissed at the time as psychological.

Over the years, Sienna has courageously trialled four different disease-modifying therapies in an effort to slow the progression of her MS. Between 2021 and 2024, she experienced a steady and heartbreaking decline, which was incredibly difficult for both her and those who love her. During that time, Sienna often felt like life as she knew it was slipping away.

But today, there is hope.

Thanks to a new treatment, the last few months have brought positive changes. Some of Sienna’s most debilitating symptoms have eased, and for the first time in years, she feels like she can begin to reclaim her life.

With continued support and access to the care she needs, we are hopeful that Sienna can keep moving forward—and enjoy life fully, as every young woman deserves to.
