YOU'RE KIDDING - MS?

To say it was a shock to be diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a chronic auto immune disease, would be an understatement. I didn't think a fit, active, healthy 27yo would be at risk but the truth is that MS does not discriminate. MS is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves). It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people at a time in their lives when they are planning families and building a career. Three out of four people living with MS are women.
I like many others battle with symptoms out of my control on a daily basis such as exhaustion, numbness, muscle weakness, temperature regulation and a myriad of others. I am lucky though, some have it worse and are wheelchair bound and speech impaired, it effects everyone differently across a very large spectrum. I have a team of amazing specialists, friends and family and technology has come a long way already. I have monthly treatment to hopefully stop the progression but currently there is no cure.
That's why I'm taking part in a 10KM walk on March 30th to raise money for MS research. Every step I take, every dollar raised, brings us closer to a cure. It's a small step towards a life free from the constraints of this disease.
I'd love for you to join me on this journey in any way. You are more than welcome to join my team, "Blame It On The Nerves," and walk alongside me or just cheer me on from at home.
Any donation, big or small, is very appreciated and to a very worthy cause (if I do say so myself!) - Just click the link!
On behalf of over 33,300 Aussies living with multiple sclerosis – THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
