2026 Canberra MS Walk Run + Roll
5km Run

NO ONE SHOULD FACE MS ALONE!

Can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the everyday things you would usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), unable to get out of bed, walk to the phone to call someone – anyone – or live a life without pain?

All of a sudden, your world has changed.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves). It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people at a time in their lives when they are planning families and building a career. Three out of four people living with MS are women.

With your support, we can allow people living with multiple sclerosis access to vital support services, like MS Connect, MS Peer Support and MS Employment Support Programs. We’ll also be helping bring new treatments closer to reality, investing in repairing myelin damage to restore function that has been lost for people with progressive forms of the disease.

On behalf of over 37,756 Aussies living with multiple sclerosis – THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Learning about MS

Thursday 26th Feb
I started learning about MS when a dear friend was diagnosed nearly 18-months ago. I’ve learned a lot about the way it’s diagnosed, the approaches of treatments, the huge expenses of treating and monitoring the disease (yes, even with Medicare), and the side effects. The one thing the internet didn’t tell me, that’s come as a huge (& saddening) eye opener is how bloody relentless it is. How it affects every part of every day and every day after that - and that’s with being on the outside looking in on one of the strongest, bravest most beautiful souls, with ridiculous amounts of courage and positivity and a sunny disposition that would have dimmed in most (myself included) many months ago. How she’s doing it I don’t know; but gosh I’m proud of her - and everyone else just doing their very best. I hope fundraising can help bring better treatments and support for people living with MS and, one day, maybe even a cure

A BIG THANK YOU TO MY SUPPORTERS
