2026 Melbourne MS Walk Run + Roll HM

NO ONE SHOULD FACE MS ALONE!

Can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the everyday things you would usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), unable to get out of bed, walk to the phone to call someone – anyone – or live a life without pain?

All of a sudden, your world has changed.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves). It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people at a time in their lives when they are planning families and building a career. Three out of four people living with MS are women.

With your support, we can allow people living with multiple sclerosis access to vital support services, like MS Connect, MS Peer Support and MS Employment Support Programs. We’ll also be helping bring new treatments closer to reality, investing in repairing myelin damage to restore function that has been lost for people with progressive forms of the disease.

On behalf of over 37,756 Aussies living with multiple sclerosis – THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

My 'why'

Sunday 29th Mar
This time last year, I was struggling to walk unassisted. My MS had not yet been diagnosed, but my body was breaking down. There was talk of brain tumours and strokes before my nuerologist mentioned multiple sclerosis.
Against the terrifying prospect of other options, it seemed like the light at the end of a terrifying tunnel. After multiple scans, tests, and a very uncomfortable lumbar puncture I was diagnosed.

With the incredible team at Casey hospital in the home my treatment has been monumental in getting back to 'normal' ( just a completely different normal to what I thought my life would be like)

I now have a standing hospital appointment monthly to get my treatment, bi yearly MRI and neurologist appointments, along with a comprised immune system and on going effects I need to work through.

During this time I set myself a goal to prove to myself more then anything that I can do this and I won't let this consume me and give me excuses. So, instead I'm going to run a half marathon all  in the name of the amazing researchers and community who understand my condition more then anyone.

A BIG THANK YOU TO MY SUPPORTERS
