Our Story: Team Kicking MS – Together
Hi everyone,
In just a couple of weeks, my family and I, along with our loyal (and very enthusiastic) spoodle, Luna, will be taking part in the Melbourne MS Walk Run + Roll. I’ll be running the 10km, our son James is smashing out the 5km, and then the four of us (paws included) will walk the final 5km together. It’s a family effort, and we’re doing it for a cause that’s incredibly close to our hearts.
My amazing wife, Rachel, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) at just 22. That was over 25 years ago. Since then, she’s shown more resilience, grit and grace than I thought possible.
Living with MS is a daily challenge. There are ups and downs, but through it all, Rachel has continued to live fully, laugh often and inspire everyone around her. She’s a quiet fighter and her strength drives us all.
This event is our way of showing support, raising awareness and hopefully raising some much-needed funds for MS Australia. They do brilliant work supporting individuals and families affected by MS and funding critical research to bring us closer to a cure.
We’d love your support, whether that’s through a donation, sharing our page or simply learning more about this condition that affects over 33,000 Australians today. Every bit of awareness helps, and every dollar brings us one step closer to making MS a thing of the past.

Thanks Newby clan for undertaking this challenge. MS affects so many people and their loved ones. My Dad was diagnosed in his early 40s and the struggle is real. Thinking of my Dad as I hit donate.💙
