2026 Melbourne MS Walk Run + Roll

NO ONE SHOULD FACE MS ALONE!

Can you imagine waking up one day unable to do the everyday things you would usually take for granted? Like not being able to see properly (or at all), unable to get out of bed, walk to the phone to call someone – anyone – or live a life without pain?

All of a sudden, your world has changed.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic and often debilitating disease which attacks the central nervous system (the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves). It is the most common neurological disease in young adults and often attacks people at a time in their lives when they are planning families and building a career. Three out of four people living with MS are women.

With your support, we can allow people living with multiple sclerosis access to vital support services, like MS Connect, MS Peer Support and MS Employment Support Programs. We’ll also be helping bring new treatments closer to reality, investing in repairing myelin damage to restore function that has been lost for people with progressive forms of the disease.

On behalf of over 37,756 Aussies living with multiple sclerosis – THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Thursday 14th May

Hellooooo beautiful people!!!!

My name is Petek and I am living with Multiple Sclerosis!

A bit of background about my diagnosis, is it all started when I was 18 years old, right before my year 12 VCE exams, and I had lost vision in my eye. Through one of the best and hardworking team of neurologists and doctors, I was giving an early diagnosis and got an immediate start on infusion treatment. I’ve been living with ms for about 6 years now and fortunately, I can say my ms has not worsen and treatment is working at the moment, which I’m am entirely grateful for!!!

Amongst other things, my diagnosis has played a significant part of my mental health. Living with an incurable chronic illness and not knowing the what could happen in the future can be a little frightening for me. But I’m so lucky to have such a positive and amazing support network of friends and family in which I will always love and cherish forever! And to my peers who are struggling with mental health issues, understand you are genuinely not alone and are strong fighters!!!!!

I’m so excited to be taking part of this fundraiser as it gives me an opportunity to share my love and gratitude to everyone who are heavily involved in making us get better. To everyone who participated, donated and supported in this fundraiser I would like to thank you for your generosity, as it is after all your kindness that cures our world.

I love y’all so much!!!!! <3

P.S. Here’s one of my favourite quotes/movie scene of all time that keeps me going ;)

“You are too concerned with what was and what will be. There’s a saying, yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” -Master Oogway (Kung Fu Panda, 2008)
