Welcome to Walking on Amina's Nerves
Most people my age don’t think twice about their nervous system — until theirs starts working against them.A few months ago, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a chronic condition that affects the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves, impacting things many of us take for granted like vision, energy, and mobility. Many symptoms are invisible, but the challenges are very real. Whilst I am still navigating a new way of living, I have made it my personal mission to educate myself and others on MS and all it entails.
That’s why I’m taking part in the MS Walk with my team (and ultimate support squad) “Walking On Amina’s Nerves”, a name that feels fitting, considering MS quite literally affects my nerves.
I’m walking to raise awareness, support vital services for people living with MS, and help fund research towards better treatments and hopfully one day, a cure!
If you’d like to support this cause, whether by donating or sharing, I’d really appreciate it. Every bit of support helps people living with MS, including me, keep moving forward.
